A Moroccan startup working on a simpler way to do laundry.

NEQI is developing pre-dosed laundry detergent tablets formulated with plant saponins. The project is at the formulation and laboratory validation stage.

Why we started

Household laundry detergent is sold mostly as liquid in large plastic bottles. Much of what is transported and stored is water. Doses are poured by hand, which usually means using more than needed.

NEQI approaches this differently. A pressed tablet carries a fixed dose for a single wash. It is compact, it does not spill, and it removes the guesswork from every load.

Our formulation direction

We are building the formula around plant saponins, naturally occurring compounds that produce foam and have surfactant behaviour. Our research direction focuses on saponins from Silene vulgaris.

The target is a natural-origin tablet with no bleach, no optical brighteners, no phosphate and no synthetic perfume, designed for daily laundry and coloured fabrics.

Final claims will be confirmed after laboratory testing and regulatory review.
